RandomTable.app is a free random table generator for game masters, solo players, and collaborative storytellers. The site contains 400 RPG random tables and 4,800 original results across eight broad genre collections.

How the tables are made

The collections are developed through human direction, editorial review, and assisted drafting. Every table is checked for a clear subject, twelve distinct results, readable language, and practical use during preparation or live play.

Editorial principles

• System-neutral: prompts should adapt easily to different rule systems and settings.
• Immediately useful: each result should create a playable detail, choice, complication, or direction.
• Original: tables avoid copying protected settings, branded terminology, and recognizable proprietary characters.
• Welcoming: the content favors broad creative usefulness over exclusionary stereotypes or needlessly graphic detail.

How to use the site

Browse a theme, search by idea, or choose a completely random table. You can use the digital d12 roller, roll a physical die, or select whichever result best serves the story.
